Hope everyone is ready for a busy weekend of fun activities in Baltimore. As you can see in the upcoming events section, the festival season is really picking up steam. A bunch of people are already planning on going to Beer & Bourbon and probably have their tickets for the City Paper Brew Fest. Feel free to leave your comments.

Friday, March 27th – Sunday, March 29th – Sideman – Fells Point Corner Theater 251 S Ann St. - $17 - 8:00pm Friday and Saturday, 2:00pm Sunday
This sounds pretty good. Might make it Saturday or Sunday. From their website: This award-winning play by Warren Leight pays tribute to a lost era of jazz and big bands, a time before the birth of rock n’ roll when jazz musicians were legends. Side Man is the story of Clifford, a young man and the son of a jazz musician, who recalls his tortured relationship with his parents. As the play moves seamlessly from the present to the past, Clifford struggles to give up the role he has assumed as ‘parent’ to his mother and father. “powerfully unsettling … an enormously moving play” - Peter Marks, The New York Times http://www.fpct.org/productions/2008-2009/side-man/
Saturday, March 28th - Afterglow Party - American Visionary Art Museum - $75 advance / $100 door - 8:30pm - Midnight
I’m a big fan of things that light up and flash so this might be a very fun party. The ad says, “Get out your Shiny, shimmery, day-glo, battery-operated costumes.” www.avam.org
Sunday, March 29th – Breakfast / Brunch / Lunch at Slainte – 11am -?
I had breakfast there this past Sunday and I was really impressed. No crazy drink specials, but the food was outstanding. Let me know if anyone wants in. http://www.slaintepub.com/
